How to pick the right bike for your child
While it’s not mandatory that your child ride a road bike to be in the club, most children, especially those who have done it for a couple of years, will likely have road bikes. You don’t have to run right out to buy a new bike as the club has a variety of loaner road bikes that your child can use during the year. However, there are limited number of loaner bikes.
If you decide to buy a road bike for your child from one of our local bike shops they will ensure your child is on the right sized bike. Don’t buy a bike that “they can really grow into”, as this might mean the child has less bike control, or that they can’t reach the brakes well, or they might even have trouble mounting the bike.
