We typically train on Tuesdays from 430-6 pm or 430-630 pm for the older athlete (12+ group) beginning in May. The training sites will vary during the year and they will depend on the type of training taking place. The coaches will alert you to changes in venue. It is best to arrive 15 minutes before practice with all equipment and a water bottle.
Summerland KOS / Adult Sprint triathlon has historically been our last club event. This usually occurs on the weekend before the Athletes return to school. Many of us continue to race mountain bikes, cyclocross, trail races, xc ski races throughout the fall and winter and it is hard to NOT find one of the coaches or another athlete at one of these events.
There are additional workouts that may be offered during the course of the season once school is out. The workout sites are set ahead of time and are available on the Calendar associated with our website.
Although parents are encouraged to ride and run with their youth athletes, we do expect that the parent has insurance with TriBC either as an athlete themselves in the form of a race licence or a complimentary licence for volunteers. Link.
